A promise made is one thing; a promise delivered is another.
When Honourable Seyi Jakande assumed office as Executive Chairman of Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA on July 29, 2025, he presented a clear roadmap for development the HEWA Agenda. Today, just 100 days later, that blueprint has translated into visible progress across the LCDA. Streets are brighter, schools are energized, health facilities are strengthened, and community life is improving not through rhetoric, but through action. HEWA, an acronym for Health & Environmental Sustainability, Education & Empowerment, Works & Security, and Agriculture/ Tourism/ Culture, was designed as a holistic model for local governance. Each of the four pillars now stands reinforced by measurable achievements that reflect the chairman’s commitment to development with impact.

H — HEALTH & ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY Building a healthy, resilient community The administration focused first on strengthening the health sector — the foundation of community well-being. Some of the achievements here are: Full reconstruction of the Kayode Primary Health Centre, Onipanu Re-equipping of five additional primary health centres Introduction of free healthcare services across all LCDA PHCs Free community medical outreach in partnership with Eko Club Atlanta, treating over 1,000 residents. To ensure access to clean water, the LCDA also embarked on aggressive borehole sinking and rehabilitation across wards, including Agowu, Amodu, Akinboro, Oseni, Adeleye High School and more, alongside the provision of a 20KVA Mikano generator to support power supply.

Promises Delivered. Foundations Laid. Momentum Sustained. In just 100 days, Hon Jakande has shifted Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA from planning to performance. The HEWA Agenda is no longer a manifesto; it is now a living system of reforms visible in renovated classrooms, illuminated streets, empowered youths, and revitalized health facilities.
